Cebu's Abuhan serves unique Sizzling Pochero |

You have probably tried the different versions of pochero from different provinces but I bet it is only in Cebu where you can enjoy this dish not on a bowl but on a sizzling platter.
Cebuanos have again proven their culinary innovativeness with the “Sizzling Pochero” served by Abuhan Restaurant.
This dish is actually derived from the traditional bulalo popularized by the Batanguenos but with a unique difference.
In Cebu, Bulalo is called Pochero. It was perfectly cooked in Beef broth mixed with shreds of ginger, fresh cabbage and sweet corn. Cebu’s Famous Bulalo is best eaten with steamed rice.

Why Celebrities flock to Myrna’s Bulalo Haus |

This simple restaurant in Tomas Morato (corner Kamuning) in Quezon City attracts celebrities because of its bulalo, the house specialty. Myrna’s Bulalo Haus was only established in 2007 but quickly became a favorite among diners when it comes to bulalo. The restaurant was named after Myrna Arce and most of the recipes found in the menu including the bulalo were created by her.

Enter the Pousada de Sao Tiago, a Relais & Châteaux boutique hotel, through steps carved into the walls of the 17th century fortress. Whilst La Paloma is more akin at first appearance to a coffee shop than a fine dining establishment, the exquisite cutlery and fine Riedel glassware quickly dispel this image. The view at night is spectacular with the terrace decked in fairy lights, a seaview, a beautiful fountain, and floodlit trees. A calm, peaceful and romantic ambience pervades.

Setting
Located on the stretch of Arbuthnot Road that is so popular with wedding photographers, Brasserie de L’ile has a picturesque location. A large open front allows the diners seated on the black and white front patio to people-watch and smoke while dining, two quintessentially Gallic activities if there ever were any. Inside, red velvet seats, large mirrors and small wooden tables complete the Parisian brasserie look. Although the restaurant is too new and not original enough to be called charming, at least the decor is not too trite or clichéd.
